Miss Vickie grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she trained under former American Ballet Theatre member Kevin Self and his wife, Michele.  She continued her training with the Milwaukee Ballet Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Her repertoire includes The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Swan Lake, Giselle and other original choreographic works.  Miss Vickie has danced all over the world including Japan, Germany, the Caribbean and at Bally’s Hotel in Las Vegas.  Along with teaching ballet, pointe and lyrical at Dance Etc., Miss Vickie is also the resident choreographer and Ballet Mistress of the Boulder City Ballet Company, and has traveled across the United States teaching master classes.  Miss Vickie also still performs in Las Vegas, at the Excalibur Hotel in the show, Tournament of Kings.

Miss Danielle was born in Sacramento, California and moved to Nevada in 1981. After a short time living in Las Vegas, Danielle’s family moved to Boulder City and just happened to land across the street from Miss Amy and Miss Gloie.  She therefore started dancing at Dance Etc. at the age of two and danced through her early twenties.  She starting teaching while in high school and has taught everything from jazz to baby ballet.  She is also a certified Pilates instructor with a studio located above the Boulder Theatre.   She is most proud of her baby girl, Lauren Nichole, who is the light of her life.  She loves watching the dancers grow up at the studio and looks forward to her own daughter spending many happy years with Miss Anna at Dance Etc.

Miss Jeni was born and raised right here in fabulous Boulder City.  She sprouted as a little dancer at the notorious Dance Etc. at just six years of age.  Naturally, she loved every minute of it, especially the honor of training with the amazing Miss Amy.  At the age of ten, Jeni relished the opportunity to perform in the Nevada Dance Theater’s production of The Nutcracker.  She blossomed as a young dancer over the next few years, and after graduating from BCHS, spent a few years outside of Boulder City.  In 1996, she met her wonderful husband, and they were married in Las Vegas on October 25, 1997.  Jeni and her husband have three beautiful children, Tyler, Brynlee, and Halle (practically perfect).  Over the past two decades, Jeni has been delighted to be a part of Dance Etc. as an intermittent instructor of dance and step aerobics.  She is thrilled to be currently tutoring the radiant 3- and 4-year-olds in Baby Ballet.

Miss Glo was born and raised near Sacramento, California.  She moved to Las Vegas in 1971 to marry Miss Amy's handsome brother, Tom.  They met in Sacramento when he swept her off her feet by doing a handstand on the counter where she worked.  It was love at first sight and 6 months later they married in Las Vegas!  Gloria and Tom moved to Boulder City in 1979 to raise their daughter, Desiree, in a small town atmosphere.  Gloria began teaching Baby Ballet at Dance Etc. in 1982.  Some of her adorable 3-year-old baby ballerinas couldn't pronounce her name -- Miss Gloria -- so her new names were created -- Miss Glo, Miss Gloie and Miss Goie.  Over the years Miss Gloie had a wonderful time playing different character roles in Dance Etc. recitals.  She was Granny in Little Red Riding Hood, the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, Mother Ginger in The Nutcracker, the Queen in The Magic Tutu and a Princess in The Enchanted Jewel Ballet. Besides her love for children, Gloria's other calling was to help others.  Bodywork was something she always wanted to do, so after graduating from Dahan School for Massage Therapy in 1996, she opened her own business -- Massage Therapy by Gloria.  She has built a loyal clientele in 10 years and now devotes all of her time to her business.  She is still an integral part of Dance Etc. in that many of the children she taught Baby Ballet to have grown up and married and now bring their little girls to Dance Etc. to experience the magical world of dance.
Tonya King was born and raised in Alabama. Miss Tonya has trained extensively in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern for 20 years by master teachers Marion Gossett, Lisa Lyndon, Al Gilbert, Roni Mahler, Joe Tremaine, Doug Caldwell, David Harriet and many others. By the age of 9, she was offered a place in the San Francisco Ballet under the direction of Lawrence Rosenbauam.  Continuing her training and building syllabus’ from: Vagonava & Cecchetti methods in Ballet, Alvin Ailey in Modern, and Gus Giordano in Jazz techniques.  While in Los Angeles, Tonya had the pleasure of working with many top studio directors from LA and New York.  She directed a weekly live show for teens at Universal instructing young stage performers. Among her work with the Paramount Touring Group from New York and other national production companies, she currently is a circuit instructor for Dance Olympus and Danzamerica. As a choreographer she has been sought after for countless productions for the last 15 years, with award winning choreography awards in Lyrical/Modern and Jazz. As a performer she feels it is necessary to express yourself through the art of movement and not just a learned series of steps.  Holding these things in her heart, she teaches the importance of this art to every student she can reach. Tonya is very excited to join Dance Etc. and teach her love of technique as well as encourage our young dancers to love the art of Dance.
